This new venture represents a slightly different approach compared to the web-view link. Here, NURA's customers will have the convenience of purchasing both their cancer screening service and the cancer insurance as a combo package directly within the MB App.

When it comes to designing sales processes for our digital partners, especially those not primarily in the insurance business, their core desire is refreshingly simple: the faster the sale, the happier everyone is! This straightforward philosophy directly informed our approach with NURA. Since they don't operate with a dedicated app, our solution was equally simple and effective: a direct web-view link. This link is specifically designed for NURA's customers to quickly and easily input their information. It ensures a frictionless journey, allowing our partners to integrate insurance seamlessly into their existing customer interactions without any unnecessary detours.

Of course, the fantastic benefit of free insurance for NURA's customers remains a core part of this plan; they only need to purchase the cancer screening. While this product is primarily aimed at MB Bank's substantial customer base (boasting around 30 million users across Vietnam!), the biggest win for customers is the seamless integration. After buying the combo, they can directly schedule their cancer screening appointment at NURA right through the app! It's all about making health protection and proactive screening incredibly accessible and convenient.

It provides up to 150% of the sum assured, breaking down into a full 100% upon cancer detection, an additional 25% for special cancer types, and a wonderful bonus of another 25% if the life-assured is living well two years after their cancer diagnosis. Interestingly, NURA's customer base isn't just about age demographics; it truly encompasses anyone living with the anxiety of cancer, which, let's be honest, is a feeling many can relate to. To date, the NURA project has already reached a significant milestone with a total of 4,000 customers, and we see tremendous potential for continued growth. This broad appeal, driven by a very real and prevalent concern, suggests a fertile ground for expanding their services and, by extension, the reach of our embedded insurance.

Vietnam's nearly 100-million strong population, with 69 million in the working age group by July 2024, presents a massive opportunity for proactive healthcare, especially cancer screening. While cancer typically appears later in life globally, we're seeing a concerning trend in Vietnam with cases emerging as early as 25. Each NURA facility can handle 25,000 annual examinations, highlighting the immense potential for our insurance if we secure a long-term partnership with them as NURA scales to meet this growing market need.

Journey & Sales model

  • The journey built for this product is quite simple:

    (1) Customer access MB App’s Insurance portal→ (2) Customer buys NURA’s cancer pack → (3) Customer keyins information and schedule cancer screening date → (4) Policy issuance→ (5) Nura contacts customer to confirm cancer screening date and after-sales services

  • This sales model is actually categorized as pure digital! Probably referred to as “Offline-to-Online” or “Online-to-Online” where customers can be advertised or introduced of NURA’s service pack embedded in MB App’s insurance portal.

    Customers then do all the things by themselves from buying insurance to scheduling a cancer screening date!
